Zann Kwan’s Call for Disciplined Digital Asset Allocation Still Holds

Throwing back to a great session at FT’s Wealth Management Summit Asia earlier, where Zann Kwan, our Managing Partner and CIO, had another annual conversation with Ernest Chan, Deputy Editor of Ignites Asia, who moderated the session.

Three months on, Zann Kwan‘s point still holds: the key risk is not volatility, but failing to hold a disciplined allocation that keeps you positioned to ride the recovery. Her reminder to allocators — stay disciplined, exposed, and allocated — has aged well.

Together with Sandra Ro, CEO of Global Blockchain Business Council, and Angelina Kwan, Former Head of Group Regulatory Compliance and Chief Risk Officer at Stratford Finance, our co-panellists, they explored the evolving landscape of digital asset regulation, investor behaviour, and the institutionalisation of crypto across Asia.

The discussion itself surfaced a key tension: Asia is moving toward pragmatic, innovation-friendly regulation, yet fragmentation across jurisdictions remains a defining challenge. The verdict? Not a question of if digital assets become core to portfolios – but when, and under what regulatory clarity.
